I need to dye my chest (and possibly feet) slots for an upcoming wedding, to white.
However, afterward I want to return to the standard color (I am completely undyed atm). 1) Do I need to buy four vials? 2) How do I return to original color? Is there a standard number for it?

Yes, 4 total to dye and undye both slots.
If you want to return to undyed color, dye to the code 255/255/255. Edit: The color for "white" is 240/240/240. But depending on the armor, "white" can turn out to be silver instead. I know my thurgadin gloves turned silver instead of white.

Hmm I am planning to dye a Burnyai Legion Gi Robe white, as my wedding dress, maybe will have better luck dying that white than plate? I will give it a shot and play around a bit with the color.
Thanks for the reply!

Fortunately the dye system has a nice preview feature, so you can try before you buy. I was even able to take screenshots of my color schemes for comparison. You don't even need to have the dyes to check out the colors, only if you want to save.

Personally when going for white I go with 254/254/254.. its just a tad bit more white than 240/240/240, and should still register as a dyed color.

Instead of dying you could always go grab a Shainai's Nightie from Shar Vahl. (its a robe thats already pure white) I suppose you're choosing the Burynai Legion Gi because of the texture, so the choice is up to you.
As well, you don't enter in any RGB value to return a piece to it original color. There is an "undye" button you can use to remove the dye from a piece of armor. It does take one dye vial to undye, just like dying.

From the title, I thought this thread would be about AC or something, armor to keep you from dying.
![]() Dyeing is the correct spelling. Anyways, "white" is actually the "no color" option. Depending on your race and armor texture (and whether you use Luclin models or not) this is usually silver, but for some race/genders it's a completely different color (female dark elves, for instance, have some bronze-like color) It's kind of unfortunate that you can't give your armor a white-tinted color. At best you can make it a slight grey. |

When dying armours, 1 number must be no less than 25 and no higher than 240. so in you RGB values you could have 0/0/25 or 255/255/240. But if you put in 241/241/241 the colour will automatically default to it's original, likewise if you put all colours to 24/24/24 or lower, the colour will default to 25/25/25. Basically you cannot get a pure white, or a pure black.

Thanks for all the feedback, I will play around with the colors to get them to my liking before I accept it.
I am actually choosing the Burnyai Legion Gi because it fits into my RP. ![]() And I changed the spelling in the title, sorry about that ![]()

I tried doing the 255/255/255 thing to 'undye' my armor, but it just kept setting it back to 240/240/240 and the colors would look as I had dyed them. I just ended up copying the color numbers from my armor tint and dying that. I cant find the "undye" button either.

try 1 1 1, pretty sure that's how I got my armor back to normal.
Although now it looks like this: http://www.xegonyalliance.info/phpBB...opic.php?t=438 Picture's kinda dark, but it shows the DE flames, and if you save it and lighten it some, you get the idea. It looks really awesome in game. Wish I knew how to host a picture, I'd post one of me that's lighter. Last edited by Amris : 04-15-2003 at 09:52 PM. |

I did the same as Quy to get back to original colour after some fruitless tries with other options.
Bah.
