[edit] Epic Quests

Over the years Everquest has created several quests known as Epic quests. These Epic quests garner an item for a specific class.

The first epic quest ever created is called the 1.0 Epic and for clerics this item is called Water Sprinkler of Nem Ankh and is widely acclaimed as one of the most important Epics in existance, even 7 years after Everquest created it. It is a weapon (usable in primary) that has a 'right click' unlimited charge cast of Reviviscence (96% rez).

Also known as the Epic 1.5. This was introduced during the Omens of War expansion. There is a pre-quest clerics can do if they do not have their 1.0 before they start the quest for their 1.5. For clerics this weapon is a shield and it has two effects. One is a worn effect of 'spell casting subtlety' to reduce aggro and the other is a right click effect which when used acts as both a 'divine arbitration' and group heal effect.

The third epic introduced is called the 2.0 Epic and this one requires a drop from the end/raiding zone of the Omens of War expansion. It is a continuation of the 1.5 quest and upgrades the stats, shortens the refresh timer of the clicky effect and increases the amount of subtlety.

The 1.5 epic is required in order to obtain the 2.0.

The fourth epic introduced is called the 2.5 Epic and this was introduced during the Depths of Darkhollow expansion. It consists of a drop (obtained from the end/raiding zone of this expansion) which, when turned into an NPC adds stats and boosts the stats and the worn effect of the 2.0 Epic. The 2.0 is required in order to obtain the 2.5. It is added as an invisible augment to the epic shield when you complete the quest.
